Our first destination is in Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia just outside Colombo. We have an apartment about 100m from the beach with all necessities. Our host, Tharinda (and his mom), is very helpful and is making sure that we have a pleasant stay. On the second day, we decided to go to the beach on the other side of Mount Lavinia Hotel. It was very nice, private and expensive belonging to the hotel. However, the waves were too rough for the boys to play in so we went up to the hotel swimming pool instead. Really nice and relaxing.
Thought I would make some fun with my family and swim underwater to scare them, hit the pool tiles with my chin. It was bleeding like a MF. Think I maybe succeeded in scaring them.. The lifeguard was not too much of a help so Petra had to plaster together the cut open skin. We went back to our apartment and Tharinda gave me a lift to the ”family doctor”. For 600 rupees the Doctor gave me 3 stitches, antibiotics and a chin similar to Jim Carreys ”Me, Myself & Irene” 😀
